Free Micro Chipping of Dogs for Runnymede Residents

Runnymede Council’s Environmental Protection team has organised a micro chipping event at Pooley Green Recreation Ground, Egham Hythe on Saturday 15 September, 10am to 3pm.

The Dogs Trust has generously donated 100 microchips for dogs and Paul Clements, Runnymede’s dog warden is offering to microchip your dog for free if you bring identification with you on the day.

Local veterinarians will be on hand to offer advice to dog owners, discount vouchers for neutering dogs and free goodie bags for dogs. Battersea Cats and Dogs Home will also be providing identification tags for dogs for a small donation.

This event has been organised to raise awareness for dog owners on how to care and keep their dogs’ safe as well as providing information to local people on what to do if they encounter a loose or stray dog and answer any questions they may have about dogs in general about their rights and responsibilities.

For more information about this day, please contact the dog warden on 01932 425718.
