Messy Church is Christ-centred

It’s not a club: just turn up

It’s a different way of experiencing church for the whole family

It began in 2004 and is now worldwide

Dates and times: the first Saturday of each month from 11.30am to 1.00pm

Each month Messy Church – craft, activities and celebration – will be built around a theme.

Typical programme:

11.30am    Welcome, then themed crafts and activities for all ages and interests

12.05pm    Time for celebration with music or drama, interactive bible stories, prayer and games

12.25pm    We eat a meal together


Questions you might ask

What type of stories and songs? 

Interactive and short, sometimes with puppets or drama as well as live or CD music.

What type of food? 

It might be snack food such as pizza, or might be a full hot meal.  For 6 October we plan meatballs in tomato sauce, followed by cake, fruit and ice cream.

Who pays for it? 

We do not make a fixed charge, but ask for a voluntary donation towards the cost of craft materials and food.
