Car crashes into front of Englefield Green home

A CAR ploughed into a 138-year-old house in Englefield Green on Sunday, after the driver apparently lost control while trying to park.

The incident in Alexandra Road, at around 10.40pm, left the front of the home potentially unsafe and in need of a full structural assessment.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: “We were called to Alexandra Road following a report that a white BMW 325i had collided with the front of a residential property.”

It is understood the building has since been confirmed as structurally safe, and the police investigation is ongoing.

The motorist was believed to be an Alexandra Road resident who was borrowing the car from a friend but was not used to driving it.
