Is Snowy! Help your neighbours.

k0491990[1]Hi, its become a little more wintery today and we have snow. This is a good time to make snow angels then sit by the fire and enjoy a good book/film/whatever, but please spare a thought for the vulnerable and elderly in your neighbourhood now!

If you have the opportunity do check that your neighbours are safe and well. Folk who cnanot get out and about may suffer either from being cold and housebound – through lack of fuel or food and a friendly enquiry will really be appreciated.

snowman-9l6t[1]If you are worried because you have not seen your neighbour call the police who can help make enquiries to reassure you and protect the ‘missing’ person.

Do that and you can fully enjoy the seasonal, chilly weather and make that Snowman.

Remember the non-emergency number to call is just

101

Why not send us your snow pictures and we’ll do a photo blog of Runnymede in the Snow.

Also there are some bits of advice from Runnymede Police:

Egham Updates Egham is under snow! RT @RunnymedeBeat: Select 2nd gear to pull away, choose a lower gear going downhill and avoid braking too sharply. ^HS
