Drugs warrant in Addlestone

Three people were arrested on Friday morning (18 January) following a drugs raid at a OpenSesameproperty in Addlestone.

Officers executed the warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act following community concerns that the property was being used for illegal drug activity.

A quantity of white powder and tablets were found and seized from the address.

A 39-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug. Another woman, aged 28 years, was arrested on suspicion of breach of injunction. They have been released on police bail until 1 March pending analysis of the controlled substances.

Runnymede Neighbourhood Inspector Roger Nield said: “This warrant was as a result of intelligence built up by local officers and information from members of the public – including social media. I would urge anyone who is concerned about drug-related issues in their area to make use of the variety of ways you can contact Surrey Police, including attending one of our neighbourhood panel meetings and surgeries, calling our 101 non-emergency number, or reporting online. If you are not comfortable speaking to the police you can also pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
