What was happening this weekend?

Runnymede Staff entering the building

Whilst most of us were taking a break from the stresses and strains of the working week officers from the Neighbourhood Team here in Runnymede and specialists from Surrey Police were busy interruping the unlawful supply of Class A drugs here in Addlestone.

The longer daylight hours meant that residents were able to watch as events unfolded.

Two men were arrested (although as I type this I’m not aware of the outcomes of their interviews) and suspected Class A drugs, money from the sale and supply of those drugs plus stolen electronic goods were seized.

We also removed kit connected with the illegal supply of drugs (things like scales for weighing stuff) and items that could have caused injury to people who might innocently visit the property.

It is expected that because of these actions the area around Addlestone will be more tranquil and safer for the residents.

The neighbourhood policing team would like to say thank you to local residents for their continued support and information and ask that you continue to let us know of your concerns and priorities. (The Runnymede Community Safety Report is out next week so please take part on line!)

We hope you will see from this piece of work that all the information you supply is considered and acted upon – within the law to protect those living in Runnymede.

Do we know of the outcome of this raid?
    Were the individuals sentenced?
    Did justice prevail?
