jewellery in a burglary in Addlestone last month.

The offence occurred sometime between 9.20am and 7.30pm on Friday, 26 April, at a property in the Liberty Lane

area of Addlestone. Entry was gained by unknown means and an untidy search of the property was made. A jewellery box containing several thousands pounds worth of jewellery, a Gucci clutch bag and a Dyson vacuum cleaner were stolen.
The stolen items included a number of items of jewellery believed to be of Sri Lankan origin and included a 24 carat gold mangalsutra heavy chain with black beads and matching earrings, two gold bracelets, a pair of 22 carat gold hoop earrings, a platinum wedding ring and a gold and black chain contained in a black box with velvet lining.

Detective Constable Mike Cresswell, investigating, said: “While these items do have some monetary value, a number of them are of huge sentimental value to the victim and family. I would urge anyone who may have been offered any of these items for sale to get in contact with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference RM/13/1966. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
