Distraction Theft

Hello folks
I had a phonecall today from one of our jazz club members. She had a deja vu experience in the car park leaving B*****r House in Shepperton last night.

A few days ago she had been stopped by someone and asked for directions showing her a map on his mobile phone. While he did that someone stole her credit card. Last nightUnknown when she was leaving B*****r House and walking to the car park, someone similar starting asking for directions to the center of Shepperton while trying to show her a map on his mobile. She thought it was happening again. I just wanted everyone to be cautious not only there. I started up my Neighbourhood Watch here in Egham a few years ago and I am in close contact with the police.

Distraction thefts are common everywhere. Please make sure you cover your cards when inputting your pin numbers and be careful if stopped by anyone asking for directions. Also make sure your cards are not easily accessible like a back pocket or a bag with an opening or a zipper that opens from behind you if you’re carrying a bag.
Kind regards,
