Message from Surrey Police

Surrey Police is appealing for information following a burglary at the Co-op store in Ongar Parade, Row Town.

The offence occurred at around 1.40am on Sunday, 30 June. Entry was forced, causing damage to the front door, and a couple of thousand pounds worth of cigarettes were stolen.

Three suspects are seen on the shop’s CCTV wearing grey clothing with their faces covered. They were then seen leaving the area in a silver hatchback vehicle.

Temporary Detective Sergeant David Sharp said: “We believe the car used by the suspects left the area at speed and would urge anyone who believes they may have seen this vehicle to contact us to help us establish its direction of travel. I would also urge anyone else who has any information about this incident, or who has been offered cigarettes for sale in suspicious circumstances, to call 101, quoting reference RM/13/3126.”

Information can also be passed to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
