Did you know that the Tour of Britain comes into Runnymede on Saturday 21st September 2013? No, well please check out the official course and see if it will affect your travel plans. The peleton will only be here for around half an hour BUT……
Now here is the re-pressed article with greatful thanks to Get Surrey:
Sir Bradley Wiggins will lead the Sky Pro Cycling team, with Mark Cavendish fronting Omega Pharma Quick-Step when the Tour of Britain returns to Surrey later this month
When the Tour of Britain first came to Surrey in 2012 – with the eighth and final stage setting off from Reigate – it was Mark Cavendish who crossed the finish line first on the setts of Guildford High Street.
This year he is set to return, leading the Omega Pharma Quick-Step team, when the seventh stage of the Tour races from Epsom to Guildford on Saturday September 21.
Sir Bradley unfortunately had to bow out of the competition before the Surrey stage last year due to a stomach bug, but he has also been confirmed in this year’s provisional rider list.
