Man in serious condition after being found on riverbank at Desborough Island

A man is in hospital this morning in a serious condition after being found on the riverbank at Desborough Island this morning (6 November).

Surrey Police was called just before 7am after the man was discovered by a dog walker. The man was breathing but unconscious and is believed to have been out all night. A fire crew was also in attendance as the man had to be taken off the island by an inflatable rib. He was taken to St Peter’s Hospital by ambulance.

He was wearing dark jeans, a dark grey cardigan, a peaked cap and brown boots. Anyone with any information as to who this man might be is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P13338325.
