China – You worry me

John Healy's Space

China, China, China … I have always had concerns about your potential to destabilise on a global scale. In the early 60s, when barely 20, it worried me enough to sketch out the story line of a book. But not having the literary talent that’s as far as it went. Not that it would have made any difference. As here we are and the book has seemingly been writing itself for the last few years, and I am left as worried as ever, that there is still probably nothing we can do. But maybe, just maybe, just maybe, our only hope lies in how much confidence we can place in Leadership. Unfortunately, I have no grounds for any such confidence – not least because we really don’t know anything about Chinese Leadership. What little we do think we know, is far from confidence building.
