#PolTwt 2014 What Police Do

Simple Things

Hi, heres a quick blog about policing on social media as I have supported previous Police global twitter days using the hashtag   . Today is the 4th one and for the first time there appears to be some controversy over the event.

The idea is that for 24hrs police teams, following the sunrise around the globe, tweet about the jobs, events and work they are doing. It is an opportunity for cops to observe and have conversations about what happens in other countries. But some folk want/wanted to shut PolTwt down this time.

And this action showcases the best and the worst of social media use.
