Charities using Social Media to raise their profiles

Many charities are increasingly seeing the value of Social Media and mounting incredibly effective viral campaigns that are raising astonishing amounts of money. The Ice Bucket Challenge (in the USA alone) raised over $100 million.

Successful charities operate like any effective business and are turning to Social Media to augment their marketing plans.

The Surrey Wildlife Trust is a charity that as part of its day to day activities is involved in fascinating work and they are using Social Media to highlight just how incredibly cool wildlife is.

I am really privileged to be involved with a new podcast series called #RangerRadio that follows the work of a Surrey Wildlife Trust Ranger.
