VIDEO: Redhill’s one-way system switches to two-way traffic

Surrey News

Redhill’s one-way system has been opened to two-way traffic as part of a scheme to tackle congestion and boost economic growth.

The £4 million town centre improvements, which also include measures to encourage cycling and promote walking by increasing pedestrian safety, were carried out by Surrey County Council and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council after a successful funding bid.

Surrey’s Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport John Furey was interviewed today by BBC Surrey about the benefits of the project.
