Our repair teams are continuing work to restore supplies to normal.
To maintain water supplies we are diverting 70 million litres a day of water from other areas. This by-pass will also allow us to start up full operations at our plant, much more quickly, once the full repair to the 1000mm main has been completed.In addition, Thames Water is providing us with 15 million litres of water a day.
The vast majority of our customers are still having their supplies maintained, though during periods of high demand, some customers may experience lower water pressure than normal.
We recognise the inconvenience of reduced water supplies and would like to apologise to customers for any disruption to their supply.
We would also like to thank our customers in the communities we serve for assisting us by continuing to use water sparingly and for their patience and understanding while we are working to restore full capacity to our treatment works.
