Air compressor unit stolen from coachworks in New Haw

image001Detectives in Runnymede are appealing to the public for information following a burglary at a commercial premise in New Haw in which an air compressor gun was stolen.  The incident happened on Wednesday, 5 August sometime between 2.15pm and 2.45pm when a red Vauxhall Corsa entered the gated site in Byfleet Road and made its way to the back of the yard.

The air compressor unit was stolen from a storage container within the complex.  DC Heather Francis investigating said: “This was an audacious theft carried out during working hours and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have any information which might help with this investigation. I am particularly interested to learn if anyone has been offered this tool for sale in unusual circumstances. Please let me know if you have seen anything or anyone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of this offence at the time it occurred.”

A 40-year-old man from Sunbury-on-Thames and a 33-year-old woman from the Addlestone area are currently on conditional bail in relation to the incident.
