Detectives re-appeal for information following serious assault in Lyne

templateheaderimage11072012134248Detectives have issued an appeal for witnesses after a man in his forties was seriously assaulted in Lyne.

The incident took place in the car park of a business address in Hardwick Lane shortly after 11am on Saturday, 22 February.

A man in his forties, suffered stab wounds to his chest and back during the incident and was subsequently taken to hospital.

Detective Constable Suzy Marten, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to hear from any witnesses to this incident that have not already spoken to police or anyone that may have any information.

“I understand for a number of reasons people may wish to provide information anonymously and they can do this by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers.”
